One of your questions might be if this training is accredited or if you will get a job with this training.
The family constellation work has different standings in different countries and as far as I know there is an accreditation only in Germany. But also here accreditation means that at a certain point in time some people came together and decided about what is accredited and what others have to do to meet these standards.
Does accreditation really guarantee a good training or say anything about the trainer or about the therapist, counsellor or facilitator?
There is a great freedom in not being accredited. Because then the standard is the quality of your own practice and it allows you to develop your work in your own pace and responsibility and not under the pressure of rules and requirements.
For me personally my training in family constellations years ago was the missing link to become a counsellor. However for some time I only offered constellation workshops without giving myself any professional label.
Whatever we do with the knowledge and the tools that we gain, in the end it depends on us and how we integrate them into our life. It depends on our openness, our sense of responsibility and most of all on our courage to go new and independent ways.
There are many paths to become a family constellation facilitator or to work with the gained knowledge after the training. Some people take lots of time and maybe choose to participate in other trainings until they feel ready. Others take less time and they start earlier. Some of you might never become constellation facilitators but use the systemic knowledge and principles in their different professions – and this could be from therapeutic work to business coaching or marketing.
But whatever you decide afterwards – one thing is for sure:
This training definitely will not be wasted.
Yes, there will be two final examsone online about the theory of systemic constellations and one practical where you will be facilitating a complete constellation of your choice.
No worries, there won’t be any marks and no “pass” or “fail”,  but a constructive and honest feedback and personal statement which can also be used as a reference for your future professional plans.
There are two reasons why I decided to examine your learning and experience outcome:
  • It will allow you to become clear of the knowledge that you have gained from this training. It will strengthen your trust in your skills and help you to become aware of possible aspects that you might still need to acquire to work responsibly with the systemic principles
  • It will allow me to give you a realistic, honest and constructive feedback of your skills and thus to guide you further in your professional plans and goals.
For the Basic Training there will be no additional fees as long as all the modules are online.
In case we decide for the practical days in form of a retreat, there will be additional costs – see below.
There will be ADDITIONAL costs for accommodation and food during the 3 intense 5-day retreats. I will do everything to find a place with reasonable fees. We will have also the option to or choose catering or choose cooking for ourselves. This will be decided by the group once the course has started.
Of course travel cost is NOT INCLUDED in the training fees and any other personal expenses.
I will try to prepare as much handouts and material as I can to avoid that you have to buy a lot of books but  I will suggest some basic literature that might be useful to buy and have on your own.
For the parts of this training that will be conducted on-line we use Zoom, a high quality, very reliable and, most important, easy-to-use and free platform. No technical knowledge is required. It allows for full interactivity, as well as “meeting room” breakouts which make small-group exercises possible. Before every session you will receive a link to the respective session. You simply follow the link and join the session.
For more information, go to Zoom.us. Please be aware that Zoom requires reliable internet access and a webcam.
Before every session you will receive videos or webinars with the content of the session. It is your responsibility to use this material for preparation, so that the group can benefit and make the most of the time during the online classes.
Basic Training:
The Basic Training will not allow you to facilitate group constellations.
However it has shown that people who already work in a helping environment, like therapists or teachers, start to integrate the knowledge in their practice already during this basic training and have experienced it as very beneficial.
Advanced Training:
This is a question I cannot answer with a “yes” or a “no”. It is like asking “Will I be able to draw after training in creative arts?”
One person will be a master, another will still need some more experience and practice and a third one will realize that it’s not for them.
You will have the necessary tools to start working with constellations in a group or in 1to1 sessions. But tools – no matter if in theory or practice – are not everything. Working responsibly with the systemic principles requires a special inner attitude that few people have naturally. But many can reach or reconnect to this attitude through genuine seeking, humbleness, honesty, compassion and respect. Through being ready to reconcile with the past and heal their own relationships and courageously looking in the mirror of the world around them.
This training aims to support you especially in finding this attitude and you will receive honest and respectful feedback from me and also your peers.
I am sure that in the end you will feel it and be clear about if you are ready and if you are meant to be a constellation facilitator or systemic practitioner.
I know that having the training close to home it might be tempting to “save the money” for accommodation. However, by deciding for this training you commit also to stay with the group for the whole period of the practical modules.
The reason for this is as follows:
When we are together for 5 days, we create a special energy that supports our learning experience and also our personal development. Leaving in the evening and coming back in the morning has two “side effects”. You might bring energy from outside that could disturb the group process or distract you from being fully present. The coming and going might create unrest within the group and with this possibly consume precious time of the practice.
Thank you for your understanding.
The uniqueness of this training is the interlocking of theoretical online modules, individual online 1to1 sessions for personal development and healing and intense practical retreats that focus on practice and facilitating from the first day on.
The theoretical modules build up on each other and alternate with the individual 1to1 online sessions and practical immersion. To help you save travel expenses theoretical group parts and individual sessions will be held online.
I have tried to find the most efficient way of using time and technology to make the most of the time when the group is together, and to keep costs down by using online work where appropriate.
You will be starting with practicing small constellation units from the first practice module on.  This is the best way to integrate the theoretical learning and to incorporate it. Theoretical knowledge is important, but constellations need to be practiced and felt. It is through this embodied learning that we gain security and trust in ourselves and the guidance of the field.
Although this training is on a professional level, your final goal does not have to become a family constellation facilitator.
You might choose this course because you want to enrich the activity you already perform through the knowledge of systemic principles or you might want to simply dive deeply into the constellation work for the benefit of your own private life and the life of your loved ones.
I am sure you will have a clear idea about it at the end of the training and be prepared for whatever your decision will be.
– Desire to learn something new.
– Openness to a totally new perspective on life and relationships, to something that might go against everything you have been told in the past.
– Honesty with yourself, sometimes a radical honesty that needs courage and compassion.
– Commitment to the training and the group as a whole and to your own personal development.
– Willingness to study the contents, to integrate what you have learnt in your daily life and to actively reflect and if possible exercise between the modules.

This is not a therapy group. If you want to join this course you need to be able to take emotional care of yourself and agree to basic group norms. You have to commit to the training and the group as a whole and to your own personal development.
In order to make sure that it is the right course for you I will have a personal conversation with each applicant after registration and before any deposit is paid.
By participating, you declare your willingness and ability to take full responsibility for yourself during the course and not to draw any claims from any consequences.
Please be aware that by registering for this training you commit to be present for the whole period of the residential retreats. This is prerequisite to hold the container and the safe space for this work and to guarantee you the best outcome.
