Dear ,
This month I had several possible topics for my newsletter article, but an experience this week has put them all in a corner. And I want to share it with you.
In systemic / family constellations, the “field” is the space of the unconscious that we access to understand and witness family dynamics, entanglements, hidden loyalties and eventually to find answers and solutions. It is present in every constellation, no matter if it is a group setting or a 1to1 session.
A couple of days ago a client and I were granted a very touching gift by the field calling in my dog Yari. We were just about to finish our preparation and discussing the possibly useful representative positions, when Yari jumped off the sofa, choose a special place in the area I do the constellations and lay down. It was clear that he had “opened” the process.
I am used to Yari coming in the space every now and then when I work, and his presence is always connected with something that happens in the field. But this time it went further. He came in as a true representative.
Although it was so obvious, for a couple of seconds I went to my head telling myself “no, that can’t be”, but then I surrendered, trusting that the field knew better.
We did not know what or who Yari represented (and it was not necessary) but he played the essential role in finding the solution for the client’s question. The way he lay down, or he sometimes lifted his head to look at another representative position, or even the way he moved his feet (sometimes the back legs, sometimes the front legs) – everything made sense – and allowed to open up a deep healing space.
When the essential healing sentences were applied and the entanglement solved, Yari got up and left the room. The constellation needed some more movements regarding the other representative positions and the moment we decided that we leave it there – Yari returned to the room and jumped on the sofa, as to confirm that the constellation had ended here.
My client and I were both deeply touched by and grateful for this incredible experience. And Yari’s participation brought up more beautiful reflections about life and its different dimensions.
I am still in awe of this deep experience and although I am working with constellations since more than 10 years, it seems that yesterday the field has opened up something new to me. It was like through Yari and him coming in so naturally, I was allowed to access a realm that I was still hesitating to get in touch with.
The field knows when we are “ready” and it guides us.
And the field is not only there in constellations - is with us anywhere and anytime, or better, we are always part of the field. The question is – do we open up to it, do we connect to it with our heart, do we listen to its gentle messages? Or do we continue our life “as usual” – and cling to the physical more than accepting the gifts of the subtle?
By the way, I had other clients since then and Yari did not take part in their constellations. He only joins when he is called to be part of the healing journey.
May the field give you beautiful insights during the month of October.
In the spirit of love and reconciliation
