Dear ,
Spring is a symbol for rebirth and new awakening. Maybe this is the reason why everyone loves this season. It gives us hope, new inspiration and we can’t wait for the flowers to bloom, the sun to warm us up and nature to awaken again.
I love nature and I love my daily walks and feeling connected, and yet this year I have a special experience with the spring awakening. I am observing the buds on the shrubs and bushes and I see them growing each day a bit more, opening up a bit more, slowly, cautiously, attentive of not being too quick.
Some buds are cheekier than others, some bushes are quicker than others, but also on the same bush, each bud has its own pace to grow and open up.
All this transformation is done in silence, slowly, naturally. And then, all of a sudden, we see the bushes in bloom. But how many of us have been aware of the whole process from the tiny bud to the blossom?
And I was thinking about our own processes of awakening and rebirth and how different they are.
For some of us they happen quickly, for others they take longer and for others again they never seem to happen and come to an end.
Some rebirths and awakenings happen with a lot of drama – others silent and unnoticed.
I was also reflecting upon how different these processes are for members of the same family and how often this is a reason for misunderstanding and suffering.
And how impatient and frustrated we often are with ourselves or others if it “takes too long”.
In this newsletter I would like to share with you some photographs of buds I have encountered on my walks during the last 2 weeks.
May they inspire you and be a symbol for rebirth and awakening and remind you that any kind of rebirth does not happen with a “bang”. It is a process - silent, slow and individually paced while surrendering to something bigger that is holding us all.
