This newsletter comes in a different shape – as the words came to me in form of a poem, while I was traveling in the plane from Bulgaria to Malta. I hope you enjoy it.
What is truth?
What is truth nowadays – and how can we know?
There is so much they hide – and so little they show.
Whom do we follow? Whom do we reject?
Are we too quick? Is there time to reflect?
Do our words and our thoughts come from love or from fear?
Why are so many shunning who once was so dear?
And when this is all over – is a friend still a friend?
Will you still be beside me and reach out your hand?
Or will you – when we meet – change sides on the track,
And pretend not to know me and show me your back?
Just because our believes did not match anymore
Is this really a reason to justify war?
Whatever the truth is – it can never be right
If it brings fear and division instead of shedding more light
Don’t you see we are sisters and brothers in this
And the judgement and fighting could turn into bliss.
We could find real solutions that meet everyone’s need
Not just of the ones who govern and lead.
We could stand strong together, no more war, no more fight
We could build a new world full of laughter and light.
So whoever you are - reading these words of mine –
Remember that love starts with you – let it shine!
