Dear ,
I was deeply touched by all the kind answers I received to my last newsletter. Every single one of them made me realize that I made the right decision. Sounds strange? Well, let me explain and start with one of these answers:
“For those of us whose lives have been touched by you, your true contribution has never been defined by what you taught, but by who you are. It lives in the quiet transformations you made possible, in the courage you awakened, and in the lives that have been forever changed by your presence.”
The essence of this sentence is exactly what has become more and more clear to me over the past weeks.
Especially when reading the final essays of the participants who completed the foundation course in July, I became aware that, over the years, my training has become much more than a basic course in family constellations. It has transformed lives, attitudes, and personal and professional relationships – beyond all theory. And it is different for everyone – of course, because we all have different backgrounds and experiences.
I have become increasingly aware of the many contradictions of our time, which focuses so much on competition, academic achievements, titles, and degrees. There are myriads of university courses, training programs, fields of study, and approaches. My question is always: Do they create a better world? Do they contribute to connection, reconciliation, and the peaceful coexistence of people? Or do they contribute to more competition and separation?
Well, it seems to be the way of our modern world and who am I to judge? But I have the freedom to choose whether I want to be part of all this or whether I want to go my own way and, perhaps, find a different way of doing my bit to pass on courage, freedom, love, reconciliation, and transformation.
What is becoming more and more clear to me is that I might not offer more “trainings” or “courses” in the future. I might no longer teach theories of any kind. They all give us something precious, but none of them is perfect or the “only” answer. Family constellations are amazing, Logotherapy is wonderful, Gestalt has a great value – and I could go on with other approaches. But there is something missing in EVERY ONE of them, and I can no longer identify exclusively with anyone of them.
I don’t feel like “teaching” anymore. I feel like “sharing”: my experience, my wisdom, my insights and my reflections. Creating a space where everyone can take what resonates with them and what feels meaningful at this particular point in their life.
That’s all I know for now. And it is enough for me, because I know that over the course of the next year, things will unfold as they are meant to, giving me the time and space to integrate what is still missing at this moment.
And then, when I am ready, I trust that some of you will be there to join me on this new path and to be part of what will emerge from it.
For now I am looking very much forward to start my last foundation course at the beginning of September and to share as much as I can with the wonderful souls that are part of it.
May your September be full of motivation and inspiration and please remember that registrations for the events in Zagreb need to be made THIS MONTH.
In the spirit of love and reconciliation
Ursula
